Self confidence tips is an article to give you the best
techniques to raise self confidence and self esteem. Self confidence is having the belief in
one’s own ability. The ability to get the job done.
1. Practice, practice, practice.
2. Use self esteem affirmations.
3. Create an affirmation poster.
I remember the day my Dad enrolled me in guitar lessons. I was 11 years old. I was reading Lord Of The Rings, when Dad stuck his head in my door way and said I have enrolled you in guitar lessons.
Dad had an old black acoustic guitar which he noodled around on. He also had some guitar lesson books. So I practiced and practiced and practiced.
I practiced so much that I knew all my basic notes including the
finger positions before my first guitar lesson. The teacher was impressed. Simple and practical. Still one of the best self confidence tips there is.
If you are not good at something all it takes is practice to gain self confidence. The more you practice the more you get better, the more self confident you become.
Making mistakes along the way is all part of the process. You’re supposed to make mistakes. How else can you learn? Be willing to learn from the mistakes made and don’t judge yourself.
If you find you are judging yourself a lot, use self esteem affirmations to change your mindset into a more positive one.
Self esteem affirmations are positive, in the present tense,
statements designed to change negative thinking into positive thinking. One of the best self confidence tips.
I want to increase my self confidence. On a piece of paper I write, I Dave am a self confident man. I do this 30 times a day. On the right side of the paper right after I have written the affirmation, I write my ego minds response.
My ego minds response is the first thought I have (usually negative) after writing the positive affirmation. If after writing the affirmations for about a week you notice an ego minds response that repeats itself a lot, take that statement and flip it around into a positive affirmation. Now write that affirmation 30 times a day with the corresponding ego minds response.
Repeat this process until your ego minds responses are mostly neutral or positive. This is how you will know your current mindset is changing to a more positive one.
An affirmation poster is simply your favorite colored poster board covered in positive self esteem affirmations. A glue stick and scissors are a must for this exercise. Write out or type the affirmations. If typing on your computer try different fonts and even colored paper in your printer to add a little pizazz to the process.
Examples of self esteem affirmations:
Write out a date on the top of poster board, like May 1st to Oct 1st 2016. Make it for a month, 6 months or a year.
In the middle of the poster board cut and paste a picture that reminds you of a favorite spiritual source, like a picture of Jesus or Buddha, the universe or some picture of nature, like a beautiful flower.
The picture of a spiritual source reminds us that we are spiritual beings having a human experience and not the other way around, a human being having a spiritual experience.
Another way, a more powerful way, to make an affirmation poster is to add positive themed pictures. Pictures of self confidence. Like athletes winning a race, someone celebrating a job well done, a craftsman making a piece of furniture. This lends visual power to the written affirmations.
When you have finished your poster board hang it on a wall where you’ll see it every day.
Affirmation posters are made to inspire us and remind us of what is important and how we really want to experience life.
These self confidence tips are designed to change our
mindset from lacking in self confidence to a mindset that exudes self
confidence AND self esteem.
