You Get What You Give. A Xmas Special!

Another way to say it is “the cost of giving is receiving”. What does this really mean??!!

If we give love, we get love back. If we give out anger we get anger back. If we give out joy we get joy back. The outer world always reflects the inner world. Our outer world is made up of people, places and things. Our inner world is made up of thoughts, beliefs, feelings and our spiritual self whatever you conceive that to be. Think of the outer world as one big mirror reflecting back to us what we are thinking and feeling.

Now if we have a positive thought and a positive feeling attached to that thought we’ll end up with a positive result and our outer world will reflect that back to us in the form of a happy set of circumstances.

If we have a negative thought and a negative feeling attached to that thought we’ll end up with a negative result and our outer world will reflect that back to us in the form of an unhappy set of circumstances. Now what happens when we have a positive thought and a negative feeling attached to that thought? We get a negative result because the negative feeling overrides the positive thought. Why?

Feelings have more energy and life force than thoughts. They will always override positive thoughts. This is why positive thinking doesn’t always work. Isn’t it better to give than to receive? Haven’t we been “taught” that? The cultural perspective is that giving is a selfless act and receiving can be a selfish act. So, is it better to give than to receive?

The cost of giving is receiving. The more we give the more we receive. If we give love to someone where did that love come from? It came from us. It came from us loving ourselves. You cannot give something which you do not have!! In other words, you have to experience that something before you can give it away.

Most (not all) of the giving in our North American culture is conditional meaning for example I will love you but left unsaid is the quiet expectation that you will love me back. You get what you give. First, be worthy of your own love. Choose life, love, peace, vibrant health and aliveness, and joy for yourself. Then give it all away. If you can get this simple profound lesson you and your world will change for the better!

Love yourself first then give love away and watch love return to you!!

Have a wonderful Christmas full of love, peace, joy and great self esteem!!!
